A multi award winning landscaping company
But what does that actually mean?
We get it, award winning sounds fancy but what have those been and are they credible?
Well, for our construction projects we have won 9 national awards from the Association of Professional Landscapers. These are highly competitive and judged in person by some of our industry's finest critics. They don't just look however, but inspect all associated paperwork including our quotes, invoices and legal documents to ensure we have delivered the project fairly and properly. They will usually speak to the clients as well, so there is nowhere to hide!
The awards we have won in construction include build categories below £25,000 and £250,000 + with many in between. We have also won awards for the quality of construction and industry collaborations for our work with designers.
Our maintenance team has now also made it into the 2026 finals for some of their great work, fingers crossed.
As a business, we have won national awards at the Pro Landscaper awards for us as a company. They look at how we operate, what we deliver and how we structure, train and develop our teams. Olly, our founder has also won and been recosnised in individual awards by Pro Landscaper for his work in promoting the industry and people in it.
Last but certainly not least are our Chelsea Flower show medals and certificates which hang with immense pride above Olly's desk. We're confident our journey will include plenty more of these over the years to come!

Olliver Gregson
After founding Hardwood in 2018, Olly has led the company to where it is now with ambition, passion and excitement. His main role now being business development, not just securing new work for our pipeline, but constantly exploring what's new in our industry and how we can better serve our clients and staff. As a national committee member of the Association of Professional Landscapers, he is often one of the first to hear of the latest changes to industry trends and regulations, ensuring our clients benefit from this early access. Deeply passionate about the impact outdoor space and time can have on everyone, Olly has committed his career to ensuring that those who trust Hardwood receive the biggest possible value add to their lifestyle and home, through their garden.
Aidy Kimber
Aidy has worked alongside Olly as the business has grown, being by his side through all of the highs and lows! She has developed our internal systems and manages all inbound communication and customer and supplier accounts. Few people know what we do better than her!
Andy Kiteley
Andy joined Hardwood as an experienced team leader and qualified electrician. As a result of this valuable skillset, we now install all our garden lighting schemes and electrics in house, transforming the service we can offer our clients.
Duncan Shail
Having run both large teams and his own company for longer than we'd like to remind him, Duncan has brought a wealth of experience to Hardwood. His sites are immaculate and he continues to be a fantastic mentor to younger team members, enabling us to continue internal training and development with great success.
Harry Coiley
Harry started with us as a labourer and is a fantastic example to the other labourers joining the company of what is achievable if you commit yourself to your craft. Popular throughout the teams and with our clients, Harry leads with an infectious enthusiasm and passion, a proud example of the talent we can develop within our teams.
Jay Andrews-Moore
With almost two decades of practical horticultural experience, Jay joined us to kickstart our dedicated maintenance and soft landscaping teams. Jay has also self-funded his master's in horticulture, highlighting both his commitment to and passion for his work. He seems to hold every horticultural qualification under the sun and his constant pursuit of self-improvement has been of huge benefit to Hardwood and his teams. He has also started bringing apprentices into the company, passing on his knowledge whilst ensuring all of the gardens we care for and their owners receive the best possible service as they grow with us.
Our story
Originally founded back in 2018, Hardwood has grown organically and consistently. Seizing opportunities, disrupting and carving out a name for ourselves. What started as just Olly and his loyal springer spaniel, Baloo, has developed into an award winning company with some of the best in the industry now wearing our uniform.
Operating Across the South East
We build from London to Brighton with a concentrated presence in the Surrey Hills and South Downs. We offer our maintenance services throughout Surrey and West Sussex.
